Alden Richards on hosting 'Stars on the Floor': "I think this is the best show that I have ever hosted on GMA."
Alden Richards makes a grand return as the host of the country's hottest dance collaboration competition, Stars on the Floor.
At the recent mediacon for the upcoming dance competition, Asia's Multimedia Star and Box Office King Alden Richards revealed that Stars on the Floor is a special project for him, saying, "It gives us something different in the world of dance."
More than just a special project, Alden said Stars on the Floor is one of the most defining moments of his career as a host.
"For the record, I think this is the best show I have ever hosted on GMA in my history so far," he highlighted.
The host added, "Ito yung show na excited ako pumuntang taping, ito yung show na excited ako makita yung mga kasama ko."
Alden shared that what makes the dance show even more special is the energy on set, from the creatives, staff, and crew to the dance stars and the dance authority.
According to him, they are all "in one boat" and continuously "bring out the best in each other."
"That's why the whole show itself, the dances, the showcase of everyone, napapatungan siya ng extra and I feel that as a host," he explained.
As a host, Alden shared that it is important for him to feel everyone's energy because his role is to connect the dance authorities to the dance stars, the dance stars to the audience, and the entire show to the viewers.
"The energy that this show has helped me by a long shot," he proudly said.
The host continued, "Sobrang ang dali ng trabaho at saka uuwi kaming hindi kami pagod. Pinag-uusapan nga namin yan lagi nina Marian."
The celebrity and digital dance stars will battle it out in the ultimate COLLABanan sa Sayawan.
Leading the celebrity dance stars are Glaiza de Castro, Rodjun Cruz, Faith da Silva, Thea Astley, and VXON Patrick. Meanwhile, Zeus Collins, Dasuri Choi, JM Yrreverre, Kakai Almeda, and Joshua Decena will represent the digital dance stars.
Serving as the show's judges, known as the Dance Authority, are Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, the Star Comedienne of the Dance Floor Pokwang, and Dance Trend Master Coach Jay.
