Alex Consani celebrated a major milestone after becoming the first transwoman to host the Met Gala.
Alex Consani marked a historic moment at the Met Gala after becoming the first transwoman to host fashion's biggest night.
On Instagram, the American model and internet personality reflected on the milestone while sharing photos of her look for the annual benefit event. Alex wore a Gucci ensemble composed of a sheer nude corset top paired with a black feathered skirt.
“[Thank you so much] to everyone who made this possible,” she wrote.
“To be the first trans woman to host The Met is such an honor, and for everyone who made this fantasy come to life, thank you so so much!” she added.
This is not the first time Alex has broken barriers in the fashion industry. In 2024, she and Valentina Sampaio became the first trans models to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
The 2026 Met Gala also drew attention for several headline-making appearances, including Beyoncé returning to the event after a decade and Heidi Klum appearing in a marble-inspired look.
