Alex Gonzaga congratulates her husband, Mikee Morada, for winning this year's election.
With election results nearly complete, many cities and provinces across the country have begun proclaiming their newly elected officials. Among them was Mikee Morada, who recently triumphed as Vice Mayor of Lipa City, Batangas.
Taking to Instagram, wife and actress Alex Gonzaga expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Lipa by sharing a series of campaign photos and a touching message dedicated to her husband.
"Thank you Lord Jesus! Thank you po mga Lipeño!" she began.
Alex reflected on their journey throughout the campaign, candidly revealing how the year started with emotional challenges for them as a couple.
"Nagsimula ang taon namin mag-asawa na may lungkot sa puso. Pero unti-unti, nakikita ko kung paano nakatulong ang mga Lipeño para mapawi ang lungkot at pananabik ng asawa ko sa isang bagay na matagal na naming hinahangad," she wrote. "Sa tuwing umuuwi siya, kitang kita ko ang genuine na tuwa sa kanyang mga mata tuwing nakakasama niya ang kanyang mga kababayan."
She then praised Mikee's humility and dedication to public service, noting how he sincerely reached out for support and showed genuine love for his fellow Lipeños.
"Napakababa ng loob mo--mapagpakumbaba kang humingi ng suporta, magalang mong ipinakita ang buong puso mong dedikasyon sa serbisyo," Alex added. "Kaya naman, kasama ang buong pamilya, buong puso ka naming sinuportahan at sinamahan, kahit hindi ka humihingi ng tulong."
As a proud wife, she also made sure to thank their supporters.
"Maraming, maraming salamat sa mga kababayan namin sa Lipa sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob ninyo sa aking asawa. Thank you po!" she said.
"Sorry sobra pong seryoso at drama pero wag kayo mag-aalala dahil matutuloy na ang dobleng putukan namin ni Vice Mayor!"
In the comments, fans and friends flooded the post with congratulatory messages. Celebrities including Isabelle Daza, KC Concepcion, and Winnie Wong also expressed their support and joy for the newly elected official and his ever-supportive wife.
As of this writing, Mikee Morada garnered 139,430 votes based on partial and unofficial results.
