Althea Ablan has nothing but praises for her co-stars. Read on what she has to say here.
It's almost a month since the afternoon drama series AraBella premiered and for its star, Althea Ablan, working with the cast has been a fun and enjoyable experience.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com during a press conference, Althea said that she's happy working with her co-stars and she even got closer with two of them, namely Shayne and Saviour.
“Si Shayne, nagkakasama na kami sa 'All-Out Sundays' so doon pa lang, nag-uusap na kami and dito nga sa 'AraBella,' mas naging close kami,” she said.
She shared, “Working with Shayne, super fun kasi pagdating pa lang ng set, tatawagin na niya 'ko, 'Girl, meron akong chika sa'yo' so 'Ok, ano 'yung chika mo?'”
Althea admits that she's more of a listener and would sometimes give advice to her co-actress, saying “parang ako 'yung ate.”
Althea also revealed that she'd known Saviour since they were kids and with the romantic storyline between the two, Althea admits that they would sometimes laugh during particular scenes.
“Si Bella at si Ed (Saviour) ay magkukuntsaba sila para kay Ara, papahirapan nila ang buhay ni Ara. Iikot siya kasi magkakagusto siya sa'kin, pero meron akong ipapagawa muna sa kaniya bago ko siya magustuhan,” Althea said.
She then recalled, “Pagkaharap na namin 'yung camrea, tapos nagba-blocking pa lang kami, nagtatawanan na kami. Meron kami, minsan, nagbabangaan lang, parang hindi pa namin magawa, ang simple simple lang.”
AraBella also marks the return of Camille Prats to TV drama after five years. Althea, is happy to be working with the former child star, saying that not only does Camille have a lot of “chika,” she also gives life advice and treats them to coffee.
“Para ngang hindi namin siya ate dun e, parang ka-age lang namin siya, ka-vibes namin siya, nakakasundo namin siya sa lahat,” she said.
She then recalled her first scene with Camille, “Nung una naming eksena, parang heavy scene pa nga ata 'yun or parang siguro first o second day, nakahugot ako agad sa kaniya.”
“Siyempre, Camille Prats, di'ba? May connection kang mararamdaman sa kaniya at hindi ka rin niya pababayaan, tutulungan ka pa niya,” she added.
