'Game of the Gens' star Andre Paras stresses that being natural is the way to go when hosting.
Spontaneity is the key.
Game of the Gens star Andre Paras stressed the importance of being natural in terms of hosting.
During the media conference of the newest all-original game show of GMA News TV this week, the son of PBA star Benjie Paras told the press that being scripted can affect someone's performance.
He said, “For me personally, maybe this is my own tip: just be yourself in a way na just imagine you are just at home, you are talking to guests, 'yun lang.
"That's why it comes in naturally, kasi if you put the pressure in na you have to read the script, you have to memorize something. We will all look robotic.”
Andre added that hosts like him, should make their contestants feel at ease, so that they won't feel any pressure during the shoot.
“Obviously since it's a taped episode, the great thing about it is instead lang kami ni Sef or 'yung Miss Tres nag-uusap-usap, we get the chance to talk to our contestants.
“Alam naman namin na even if they are actors and actresses kinakabahan sila, you can't fake that. You can't change that, so we make them feel at home.
“In other words , ito na 'yung bahay nila with us, so we have to make them feel at home, make them feel relax.”

Meanwhile, award-winning comedy star Sef Cadayona pointed out that the main selling point or advantage of their show, Game of the Gens, is that it's an original concept.
Sef explained, “Masaya kami na makakapag-introduce kami ng original game plot na something to offer sa viewers natin, especially now sa kids.
“Since pinagme-merge o pinagsasama namin 'yung lumang generations, tsaka 'yung bagong generation--I think it's fun for them na malaman kung ano 'yung mga nauso noon at kung bakit uso ito ngayon, dahil doon sa mga nauso before.”
