Angela Luz

Angela Luz celebrated her birthday on April 14 amid mandated quarantine.

Like the rest of the world who's celebrating their birthday sometime this month and the past months, it's safe to say that this year is truly one for the books.

The same goes for Angela Luz, former partner of Eat Bulaga dabarkad Vic Sotto, who celebrated her birthday last April 14th.

On Instagram, the former model and actress narrated how this year's celebration is definitely something she's not used to.

She wrote, “April 14, 2020… How can I possibly describe you? Unforgettable, for sure. Definitely the one birthday that will stand out among all the amazing birthdays I've had in the past.

“Why? Because every year I celebrate big. I usually take a bunch of people to the beach or a dance floor and I party hard.”

But despite all the wonderful memories of the past, Angela realizes that she need not celebrate big in order to make it a memorable one.

“And yet yesterday was the birthday I will remember the most because I had no choice but to stay home, which has never happened. But I will say this again, that I don't feel bad I had to celebrate in such austerity. I was just one of the millions who had birthdays in lockdown, so it was no big deal.

“This is what I believe... that you don't have to wait for any birthday to celebrate LIFE. And I have been extremely grateful for the past year (pre-COVID) where I lived my life to the fullest.”

According to Angela, she grabbed every opportunity last year and enjoyed every single minute of it being a “dancer, a showgirl, a party girl, a traveler” and consumed “bottles of wine and got drunk every chance I got.”

But the one thing she's definitely grateful for was the fact that she's loved --- by her family, her friends, and most of all her daughter Paulina.

“Without a doubt, I am a great mother. Because everything I have done has just come out of genuine, unconditional, immense love for my child.

“And as if my blessings were not enough, in the past year I found out my child is going to have her own child. In fact, the last thing that happened before the lockdown was that we all found out that the baby inside the tummy of @paulinavls is a girl. Sachi, the child of bliss.”

My Birthday Photo 2020 ❤️🎂🎉 April 14, 2020... how can I possibly describe you??? Unforgettable, for sure... definitely the one birthday that will stand out among all the amazing birthdays I've had in the past. Why??? Because every year I celebrate BIG... I usually take a bunch of people to the beach or anywhere where there is water or a dance floor (hahaha) and I party HARD. I've been to the most beautiful places, like the Maldives in 2018... and yet yesterday was the birthday I will remember the most, because I had no choice but to stay home, which has happened NEVER!!! Not until yesterday, that is. But I will say this again, that I don't feel bad I had to celebrate in such austerity. I was just one of the millions who had birthdays in lockdown, so it was no big deal. Because this is what I believe... that you don't have to wait for any birthday to celebrate LIFE. And I have been extremely grateful for the past year (pre-Covid) where I lived my life to the fullest... grabbed every opportunity and enjoyed every single minute of being ANGELA, the dancer, the show girl, the party girl, the traveler; the flirt and the tease, (hahaha) the generous friend, the adventurer. I consumed bottles of wine and got drunk every chance I got. LOL. I danced in so many shows that I can't even count them anymore. I took a leap of faith and got myself a dance partner from a faraway country and we just had the most amazing FUN together. I made a lot of important connections with people I know will become my friends forever. But most important of all, I was LOVED, and I loved so much in return. I was a hugger, and I never passed up the opportunity to tell my loved ones that I loved them. I had the most amazing time with my family, and I know I have been the best mom. Without a doubt, I AM a great mother. Because everything I have done has just come out of genuine, unconditional, immense love for my child. And as if my blessings were not enough, in the past year I found out my child is going to have her own child. In fact, the last thing that happened before the lockdown was that we all found out that the baby inside the tummy of @paulinavls is a girl. Sachi, the child of bliss. ❤️

Angela reiterated that her daughter and the child she's carrying is by far her best blessing in life.

“I have been extremely blessed in my life, and I cannot complain about a lockdown where I find myself still living comfortably and still eating three good meals a day. I am still extremely blessed and lucky.”

As for herself, Angela says she will continue to grow old the way she's lived and not take everything for granted.

In her words, “There's nothing a twenty-.year-old can do that I cannot.

“Even if I'm fat, it has never hindered my ability to dance, or perform, or look pretty and sexy. I will wear a bikini no matter what anyone says because if you look at what has happened to the world now, everything has come to an absolute standstill.

“So I'm glad I celebrated each and every birthday like there was no tomorrow because sometimes there literally is no tomorrow.”

This is a continuation of my last post, because I reached the maximum number of words allowed in an Instagram post. 😂😂😂 So to continue my birthday “speech”... I have been extremely blessed in my life, and I cannot complain about a lockdown where I find myself still living comfortably and still eating three good meals a day. I am still extremely blessed and lucky. 🙏🏻 Furthermore, I never think about age or growing old... age is just a number to me. There's nothing a twenty-.year-old can do that I cannot. Even if I'm fat, it has never hindered my ability to dance, or perform, or look pretty and sexy. I will wear a bikini no matter what anyone says, because if you look at what has happened to the world now... everything has come to an absolute standstill. There are so many things we could have done but didn't do because of fear, or lack of confidence, or being worried about what people might say. But now we all realize that everything can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye. EVERYTHING! We sit in our houses now, and all we have are our memories. So I'm glad I celebrated each and every birthday like there was no tomorrow, because sometimes there literally is no tomorrow. As for the pandemic... I have learned the most valuable lesson... to never take anything for granted. Not even the smallest thing. Even sitting in the car in heavy traffic is something I would love to do right now. I would give anything to sit in traffic in a world without COVID. But most important of all, do not take GOD for granted, because never was it more apparent than now that He is in control of everything. That the whole world is literally in His hands and there's nothing we can do but PRAY and surrender to His will. I believe in that wholly, truly, and without a shadow of a doubt. That it is only prayer that will save the world. Dear God... thank you for another year, another birthday. I trust in You completely, and for whatever reason the world is going through darkness right now... I accept it without question. And I will forever remain faithful. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
