Nadine Lustre: "Such an injustice to the Aeta people."

Anne Curtis and Nadine Lustre expressed their support for Kara David following the airing of "Ibinasurang Paraiso," an episode of i-Witness that exposed the massive piles of garbage dumped in a forest in Subic, Zambales.

On X, Anne praised Kara and the documentary team for bringing attention to the issue.

"On other news, kudos to mam @karadavid and the @IWitnessGMA team for exposing this. Nakakalungkot. Hopefully one day the government seeks a way to introduce waste to energy solutions in the country. But also educate the people on proper waste management," she wrote.

Nadine also reacted to the documentary through an Instagram Story, calling the situation "heartbreaking."

"This is just heartbreaking. Such an injustice to the Aeta people, their ancestral land, and the environment. Panong di ka magagalit?" she wrote.

She also commended Kara for highlighting the issue.

"Props to Ms. Kara David for putting this to light!"

Nadine went on to express her frustration over the country's waste management concerns.

"Nakakatawa nalang na 2026 na di pa rin natin alam ano gagawin sa mga basura natin. Mukha namang afford na natin gumawa ng proper disposal plan sa dami ng pera natin! Ay...oo nga pala," she added.

In "Ibinasurang Paraiso," Kara documented how mountains of trash have accumulated in the middle of a forest in Subic, affecting the environment and nearby communities, including the Aeta people.

The documentary featured residents who lamented the condition of the area. One of them, Erlinda Capistrano, said, "Parang nagagalit po na hindi ko po maintindihan ang sarili ko po. Naawa din po ako sa lugar. Bakit ginaganito po nila? Masakit po sa damdamin po, Ma'am. Napakasakit po."

Kara also narrated that the site was once a ravine before it was gradually filled with truckloads of garbage over the years.
