Kapuso Action Heartthrob Anton Vinzon has given fans an exciting first look at his character in the upcoming Kapuso series, Kamao.
On his Instagram account, Anton shared a sneak peek of his new role, appearing in full boxing gear complete with robe, gloves, and trunks.
Kamao marks his first solo protagonist role, making it a major milestone in his acting career. The series blends sports action with family drama.
In the series, Anton plays MakMak, a determined boxer navigating both the brutal world of the ring and personal struggles outside it. Now sporting a leaner, more muscular build, the actor takes on a more serious and mature role, marking a clear departure from the lighthearted characters he previously portrayed, such as in Mga Batang Riles.
To prepare, Anton underwent intensive physical training, including boxing drills and conditioning, ensuring authenticity in his performance.
Kamao is already in production under GMA Entertainment Group and will soon be released on GMA Afternoon Prime. It is directed by L.A. Madridejos and Richard Arellano, with associate director Kevin De Vela.
Kamao also stars Bruce Roeland, Katrina Halili, Amy Austria, Neil Ryan Sese, Wendell Ramos, and Anton's father Roi Vinzon. Also part of the cast are Chanty Videla, Therese Malvar, Matt Lozano, and content creators Abdul and Marsy.
