Gunshot heard amid basketball brawl in Iloilo

A gunshot was heard amid a basketball brawl in New Lucena, Iloilo.

According to a report in “Balitanghali” on Tuesday, no one was hurt after the gunshot was heard. There was also no empty shell found in the basketball court.

In a video, the barangay captain was caught holding a gun. Police, however, said that the barangay captain denied firing his gun.

The barangay official claimed that he only drew his gun after hearing the gunshot.

The barangay captain’s firearm is licensed. However, he will still face charges for violating the permit to carry firearms after exposing his firearm to the civilians, which is not aligned with his permit to carry.
