Global music icon Apl.de.Ap partners with GMA Music to bring his new three-track EP closer to Filipino audiences worldwide.

Filipino-American music icon Apl.de.Ap is taking on a new chapter in his home country as he officially signs a distribution contract with GMA Music.

The Grammy-winning artist Apl.de.Ap is taking his music closer to home as he officially partners with GMA Music for the distribution of his upcoming three-track EP.

The Black Eyed Peas founding member held his official contract signing with GMA Network on August 14, 2026, marking a new collaboration aimed at connecting his music with Filipino audiences here and around the world.

“When I was informed by GMA that Apl.de.ap will be signing with us, I said, ' Are you really sure?” GMA Network Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and EVP and COO of GMA Music Felipe S. Yalong said.

“Because Apl is the first foreign artist that has signed with us, and that is something I have been asking Rene [Salta], Kedy [Sanchez], and the team for so many years,” he added.

Apl.de.Ap, whose real name is Allan Pineda Lindo, rose to international fame as a founding member of the Black Eyed Peas. The group has earned six Grammy Awards from 16 nominations, including wins for Best Pop Vocal Album for The E.N.D., Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for “I Gotta Feeling,” and Best Short Form Music Video for “Boom Boom Pow.”

The group is also behind global hits including “Where Is the Love?,” “Let's Get It Started,” “My Humps,” “Don't Phunk With My Heart,” “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling, and "Bebot.”

Beyond his achievements with the Black Eyed Peas, Apl.de.Ap has remained closely connected to his Filipino roots through his music and various projects supporting Filipino artists and communities.

For Apl.de.Ap, the partnership with GMA Music is more than simply distributing his upcoming release; it is also an opportunity to further champion Filipino talent.

“I am very excited about this collaboration with GMA as a distribution company, to really connect me with our kabayans and Filipino audience, not just here but around the world as well,” Apl.de.Ap said.

“This is just a stepping stone on really highlighting OPM and upcoming Filipino artists, this is just the beginning. I can't wait to keep creating content, releasing music, and collaborations, and acknowledging amazing, upcoming talented Filipino artists,” he added.

GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta said, “We would like to welcome Apl in GMA Music. We are excited that we have been chosen as distributor for his latest EP.

“And we believe that this collaboration will help Apl.de.Ap connect with his audience. We appreciate the trust placed in us by Apl and his team, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards,” he added.

Also present during the contract signing were GMA Network Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for the Entertainment Group Gigi Santiago-Lara, AVP of Entertainment Group Ruth Mariñas, and Jojo Aquio, Assistant Vice President for Corporate Communications at GMA Network.

With his upcoming three-track EP and a renewed focus on connecting with Filipino audiences, Apl.de.Ap's partnership with GMA Music marks another milestone in the international artist's enduring connection with the Philippines.
