Actress and business owner Ara Mina proudly presented her donations to frontline workers on Instagram yesterday, April 20.
Her donations consisted of your usual goods like food, face masks and shields, and personal protective equipment.
But what makes Ara's different is that she also gives out makeup and skincare items from her lines, Ara Colours PH and Ara's Secret.
She shared on Instagram, “Aside from my donation drive of @aracoloursph and @arassecret…
“We'll be sending @aracoloursph self-care kits to the frontliners of my two chosen hospitals this week. This is just a gift! Aside sa food at masks na binibigay natin, we'll give face shields and PPEs soon sa talagang nangangailangan po.
“Please continue supporting my products so we can help more. Let's spread kindness and be a true hero to our frontliners.”
The goodwill was well-received by many of Ara's fans except from one netizen who said that makeup kits aren't essential during this time of COVID-19 crisis.
The netizen wrote, “Thank you, but at this point, makeup kits are not part of our priorities. Food is more essential for their daily needs.”
Ara explained, “I know this is not the top priority. Ayan na naman po tayo sa pagdya-judge.
“This is only a bonus or extra. May kasama pong food ang pamimigay ko po. And nag distribute na rin po ako ng about 8k pieces of masks. Naka-plan na rin po ako mamigay ng face shields and magpa-fundraise pa po ako for PPE suites.
“'Wag po tayo nega agad. It's free anyway if you don't like it, 'di ko po kayo pipilitin. It's just a gift.”

Ara added that she only thought of adding the kits as incentives for medical frontline workers for a job well done.
“Nag-iisip lang ako ng something para matuwa naman ang frontline workers like you.
"'Di niyo po ba nakita ang swipe pic? I sell my products sa price n'ya and 'yung kita po namin ipapangkain sa frontliners.
“And itong pouches na is an extra gift for them. Sana malinaw po at na-explain ko sa inyo ng maayos para maintindihan n'yo po,” she concluded.
Ara is among the many celebrities who are taking the time to be proactive and help many frontline workers in the medical field.
Among them are Heart Evangelista, Willie Revillame, Dingdong Dantes, and many other Kapuso stars.
