Ariana Grande makes romance with Ricky Alvarez Instagram official.
Ariana Grande offered fans a glimpse of her renewed closeness with Ricky Alvarez after including her former boyfriend in her latest Instagram photo dump.
The singer shared the post on Wednesday, August 12, featuring moments from her recent days, including a couple of sweet snapshots with Ricky, whom she dated from 2015 to 2016.
In one photo, the two posed in front of a mirror in coordinating outfits, with their faces cropped out of the frame. Ricky could be seen with his arm around Ariana while holding her hand.
Another snap showed Alvarez behind the camera as Ariana looked toward him in a blurry mirror photo.
The pair have remained friends since their split and were spotted together again in Austin, Texas, on June 26. Alvarez later watched Ariana perform during her concert in the city.
Their reunion has also been reflected in Ariana's recent shows. During one performance, Ricky was spotted dancing in the audience as Ariana sang “Imperfect for You.”
Ariana also appeared to reference their history during another concert when she changed a line in “Thank U, Next” to mention Ricky and their tendency to find their way back to each other.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Ricky has remained a trusted friend and confidant for Grande, describing him as dependable, supportive and someone who brings positive energy into her life.
Another source said in July that the two were taking their relationship slowly and were not rushing into anything serious.
For now, the pair appear to be enjoying their renewed connection as Ariana continues her “Eternal Sunshine Tour,” which is scheduled to conclude in September.
