Kapuso star Rain Matienzo is set to host the upcoming 3rd VP Choice Awards to held virtually today (March 26) via Facebook. She will be hosting the event along with actor JV Cruz.

VP Choice Awards is an annual event presented by Village Pipol magazine that recognizes the brightest personalities who make hallmarks in the lifestyle, travel, technology, and entertainment industries. The winners are determined through a voting system coming from online votes, Facebook shares, editorial team and panel of judges.

For three years, personalities from across major social industries await the night of glitz, glamour, and fun at the VP Choice Awards.

Last year, Kapuso stars bagged recognitions from the award-giving body. One of them was award-winning actress Jennylyn Mercado, earning the TV Actress of the Year award for her portrayal of Dr. Maxine in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean series Descendants of the Sun.

Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards won Cover of the Year award for his 2020 Village Pipol cover.

Kapuso young actress Sofia Pablo, meanwhile, won Spotlight of the Year award.
