Bibida ang Sparkle star na si Ashley Ortega kasama si Khalil Ramos sa Cinemalaya film na 'As If It's True'
Magtatambal sina Kapuso stars Khalil Ramos at Ashley Ortega sa pelikula na pinamagatang As If It's True, na isa sa official entries ng Cinemalaya Film Festival ngayong taon.
Sa naganap na media conference para sa kanilang pinagbibidahang pelikula, ibinahagi ni Ashley ang kaniyang karanasan sa paggawa ng pelikula para sa Cinemalaya sa unang pagkakataon.

“Siyempre una, hindi mawawala 'yung kaba mo talaga kasi people would criticize your show negatively and positively. It's challenging, it's a new challenge, it's a new door for growth as an actor. Exciting also kasi I got to experience a lot of new things, with our director, with my co-actors, very different from television,” pagbabahagi niya.
Ayon pa sa dating Hearts On Ice star, hindi niya malilimutan ang karanasang ito dahil kasama ito sa kaniyang bucket list bilang isang aktres.
Aniya, “The whole experience is really nice and it's something na hindi ko makakalimutan kasi this is my first Cinemalaya movie and I've always wanted to do an indie film. I'm just really grateful dahil nabigyan ako ng opportunity tapos leading pa ako rito, so it's something memorable and a goal na I was able to achieve. And I'm just really proud kasi this year I got to do things na talagang part of my bucket list as an actor.”
Sa isang panayam nina Ashley at Khalil sa GMANetwork.com, puspusan ang kanilang naging paghahanda para sa As If It's True.
“We had to learn, learn, and learn the story, the material. There [were] workshops that we did, two-day workshop siya. May isang workshop din na for our intimate scenes, script reading, at saka 'yung intimacy exercises, which helped a lot kasi kailangan talaga. Ako naniniwala ako na lahat ng project dapat mayroong work before the shoot,” kuwento ni Khalil.
Dagdag ni Ashley, “Before kami mag-start ng shoot, nakasama namin lahat ng mga co-actors, ng production to build relationship with each other para pagdating sa set, komportable na kami sa isa't isa.”
Gaganapin ang Cinemalaya 2023 simula August 4 hanggang August 13 sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) sa Pasay City. Inaasahang ipapalabas din ang competing films sa Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) Black Box Theater, TriNoMa, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, at Glorietta cinemas.
