Ashley Ortega received recognition at the 2024 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards of Trinity University of Asia on Thursday, February 15.
The Kapuso actress bagged the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award for her remarkable performance as a figure skater named Ponggay in the Philippines' first-ever figure skating drama series, Hearts On Ice.
On Friday, February 16, Ashley took to Instagram to express her gratitude to the award-giving body and her family in Hearts On Ice. She also posted a series of snaps of herself while holding her plaque.
"Thank you 2024 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards for this recognition. This means so much to Ponggay and me. I wanna share this award with the whole team of Hearts on Ice, my family, my fans, and to God for the collective success of my dream show. Thank you to everyone who shared this journey with me," Ashley wrote.
Hearts On Ice also star Xian Lim, as well as actors Amy Austria, Rita Avila, Tonton Gutierrez, Lito Pimentel, Ina Feleo, Cheska Iñigo, Antonette Garcia, and young Kapuso artists Kim Perez, Roxie Smith, Skye Chua, Ruiz Gomez, and Shuvee Etrata.
