Congratulations, Ashley Rivera!
Sparkle star Ashley Rivera was recently recognized as one of the recipients of this year's Philippine Empowered Men & Women Of The Year.
In an Instagram post, the actress-comedienne expressed her gratitude for receiving the recognition.
"Blessed to have a platform where [I] get to share my "kalokohan". I take pride in being a comedienne! Not everyone has the gift (and the [brain]) to make people laugh. And you know what, [I] think humor is sexy. Humor is empowering," Ashley mused in the caption.
Ashley also mused on how messages from her followers keep her motivated, especially on days when she questions her purpose and existence.
"When [I] think about it, ang weird ng concept na nakakapagpasaya ako ng tao dahil lang nagpapakatotoo ako, but at least masasabi ko na [I] contributed something to the world & to other people, in my own little way kahit mukha na kong siraulo," she added.

Ashley then dedicated the award to everyone who supported her.
"So this award is for all of you! Thank YOU for the support! Thank you for making me happy the way [I] make you guys happy too. [L]et's keep sharing the good vibes bb," she said.
Ashley is known online for her funny videos and posts, which she often publishes under "Petra Mahalimuyak."
