After announcing that the Disney Wish Ship will set sail in 2022 and dropping their mega trailer of upcoming movies, Disney is about to unveil another magical and wonderful surprise for Marvel fans: the opening of the Avengers Campus on June 4.
The six-acre new attraction is situated within the Disney California Adventure Park, and of course, it will bring to life to your beloved Marvel characters and let you experience the Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) through exciting rides, encounters, and food.
It's called the Avengers Campus because the story concept of the attraction is that billionaire-tech genius-superhero Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, has transformed a secret complex into the Worldwide Engineering Brigade or WEB, which is basically the Avengers' headquarters.
Throughout the whole experience in the park, guests will serve as new recruits that the Avengers will be training. Hence, the campus theme.

One of the structures in the Avengers Campus that fans will surely recognize is the Quinjet, the superheroes' main mode of transportation, which is parked atop the Avengers Headquarters.
“New recruits” will likely encounter superheroes such as Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Thor, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, The Wasp, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Outlets like USA Today also reported that a Walt Disney Imagineer once hinted during the 2019 Comic Con that the Avengers Headquarters could eventually serve as a portal, where guests can take a ride and journey off to Black Panther's homeland, Wakanda.
For the first time ever, Disney will have a ride dedicated to everyone's “friendly neighborhood,” Spider-Man.
Marvel revealed that the Spider-Man-inspired ride will feature new gesture detection technology to track head, hand and eye movements, making guests feel like they're actually shooting webs from their wrists.
There will also reportedly be a Spider-Man robot swinging high above the Avengers Campus and performing flips and other acrobatic stunts.
“New recruits” can join Rocket on a thrilling adventure to rescue the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy from the fortress of The Collector.

“New recruits” will also get to learn about the mystic arts from Doctor Strange and discover ancient artifacts at the Ancient Sanctum, which beautifully glows at night.
The food options at the Avengers Campus are also Marvel-themed, one of them is the restaurant inspired by Hank Pym from Ant-Man.
Hank Pym is best known for his one-of-a-kind suit which transforms him into either a miniscule or life-sized version of himself.
So, in the Pym Test Kitchen, “new recruits” will get to feast on either super-small or supersized dishes.
Other food options at the Avengers Campus include the food carts Shawarma Palace, inspired by the shawarma that the Avengers ate in the 2012 movie, and Terran Treats, inspired by Taneleer Tivan a.k.a. The Collector, which serves the Cosmic Cream Orb, a dessert inspired by the Infinity Stones from the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guests can also buy campus gear from the Campus Supply Pod and more Marvel merchandise at The Collector's Warehouse.
According to a recent tweet of the Walt Disney Company, the Avengers Campus's opening on June 4 will only be open to California residents.
So, Avenger fans from other states and other parts of the world would have to wait until further notice.
If you're in Europe, you might take comfort in the fact that there's actually another Avengers Campus being built there in Paris.
So, there's actually a lot of things to look forward to in the future.
