After months of numerous site visits and endless consultations about the design elements of the house, Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza is reaping the fruits of her hard labor and now has a house she can call home.

Having gone through an arduous process, the award-winning Sparkle actress learned a thing or two about home construction and some of the important things to take into consideration.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com last Friday, June 7, the Pulang Araw star reiterated that a homeowner should not skimp on hiring professionals to ensure that your house will be built in the highest quality possible.

She explained, “First of all, hire professionals 'di ba, huwag kayo magtipid in hiring professionals, kasi bahay, 'yan 'yung forever n'yo titirahan ng family so investment talaga siya. So, huwag kayo magtipid, hire professionals.”

“They should know 'yung mga building code ng city hall 'di ba, 'yung mga tamang design kasi siyempre hindi naman lahat ng design akma sa regulations ng city hall, ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), my God! Dinaanan ko lahat 'yan magka-permit lang. Dapat aware sila dun.”

Barbie also pointed out that you might overshoot your planned budget because of the things that would happen during the construction process, including design revisions along the way.

“Parang wala pa akong nakausap na nagpagawa ng bahay na saktong-sakto talaga dun sa budget na sinabi nila, kasi siyempre lalo na kapag nasa finishing ka na siyempre makikita mo na, ay 'di parang mas gusto ko 'yung ganitong klase, ganitong quality. Tapos, kasi iisipin mo lifetime na siya e, so dun ka na siyempre sa gusto mong quality 'di ba,” the Kapuso actress noted.

She also stressed of being wise with your hard-earned money by saving a portion of it for your dream house.

Aside from the much-awaited GMA Prime serye Pulang Araw, Barbie will be paired again with on-screen partner David Licauco for the romance-comedy movie That Kind of Love.
