Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza and Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco dominated the conversation online after the teaser trailer of their much-awaited movie That Kind of Love was released last weekend.
The media got the chance to interview the popular loveteam, known to their fans as BarDa during the Maggi and Nestle Cream Food Creator Network event held at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Taguig City yesterday, June 7.
Barbie said in an interview with seasoned showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago that it is about time for local movie fans to watch a quality rom-com, which is proudly made by Pinoys.
She stated, “Alam ko lagi na itong sinasabi more than the pressure, it's the excitement really. Kasi ang tagal na namin siyang nagawa and napakaganda nung material, napakaganda nung proyekto. And I think, it's been a while since the last feel good rom-com na Filipino' di ba?"
“Kasi tayo laging nasa streaming platform, tapos laging mga K-drama or mga Hollywood film na rom-com, so, I think perfect timing din na kiligin ulit ang mga tao sa Filipino made na pelikula.”
David seconded the thoughts of Barbie saying, “Gaya ng sinabi ni Barbie excited, maganda talaga 'yung product, so, ako I will try my best na talagang ma-promote siya. Alam kong maganda 'yung movie, so sana manood 'yung mga Kapuso natin.”
Meanwhile, the Kapuso Primetime Princess was beaming from ear to ear as she shared with GMANetwork.com what was going through her mind when she saw the teaser trailer of That Kind of Love for the first time.
“Actually ang sinabi ko nung right after, bitin!” the award-winning actress said.
So siyempre 'yung bukod sa mga artista, siyempre 'yung production staff na very hard working and very fun to be around with.
“Very passionate talaga sila sa ginagawa nila, so lahat 'yun bumalik 'yung memories na 'yun while doing the film and ang sabi ko nga, ang daming magagandang eksena both na mga nakakakilig or nakakaiyak na eksena. Excited na ako mapanood kasi ang tagal namin ginawa, so parang kailangan i-refresh 'yung memory ko.”
