What does this mean for Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque?
More than a month after Boy Abunda confirmed the breakup of Bea Alonzo and Dominique Roque on the February 6 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, netizens noticed a new detail on the Kapuso actress' latest Instagram post.
Bea posted a Reel showcasing a skincare brand. She is seen wearing a pink cowl neck top and accessorized it with a diamond bracelet and a diamond ring on her left ring finger. The ring looks like her engagement ring from ex-fiancé Dominic Roque.
This sparked reactions from netizens, especially since Boy Abunda revealed last month that Bea gave her engagement ring back to Dominic after the breakup.
The King of Talk said, “I think, kung tama ang aking source [si] Bea ay isinauli na ang kanilang engagement ring."
Meanwhile, netizens could not help but be hopeful that Bea's wearing of the engagement ring is a sign that she and Dominic are back together.
One netizen said, among other comments that share the same thought, “... Confirmed na talaga na love [is] sweeter the second time around.”
On the other hand, some of her followers think that Bea's photos in her latest Instagram post were old snaps of her since she has been with the skincare brand for years now.
Bea and Dominic became a couple in January 2021, but their relationship was only made public in August of the same year.
They then decided to take their relationship to the next level in July 2023 when the two got engaged.
Towards the end of 2023, rumors of their breakup spread like wildfire. It was only on February 6, 2024, when Boy Abunda confirmed their breakup in an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Days after, on February 11, Bea and Dominic released a joint statement on Instagram confirming their breakup.
They wrote, “After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our engagement. It was not an easy decision.”
Bea Alonzo has not released any statement about her latest Instagram post. She is also shooting her upcoming GMA series with Carla Abellana called Widows' War, coming this 2024.
