It's easy to think that Bea Alonzo has no familiarity with street food because of her striking looks, but the star herself is the one disproving it as she posts about fishballs and kwek-kwek on her social media account.
In a post on her Instagram, Bea posted several photos of her enjoying a serving of kwek-kwek on the set of her new show Love Before Sunrise (). In the caption to the post, she said that she had missed treats like this and then tagged her fiancé Dominic Roque, saying that this was his favorite.
Bea stars alongside Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in Love Before Sunrise, which she describes as a story “about betrayal, about heartbreak, about infidelity.” The show is a collaboration between the GMA Entertainment Group and the video streaming service Viu.
Bea is not the only Kapuso beauty to be seen being down-to-earth in the past few weeks. Back in July, international fashion and style icon Heart Evangelista posted several photos of her buying fishballs in Rempeolas, Sorsogon together with her husband, Senator Chiz Escudero. Heart poked fun at her own “maarte” reputation in the comment to the post, writing that she was making “tusok tusok the fish balls.”
Heart has done this before. Last year, she gamely took on the sari-sari store shopping challenge after she was dared by a follower. Not only did she buy stuff for herself, she also went on to buy food and drinks for the other sari-sari store customers as well.
Heart endured some light teasing from that post, something that her fans regularly like to do when it comes to her luxurious image.
It was also last year when netizens teased her about her Chanel hangers, which retail anywhere from USD$45 to USD$56, or PhP2,468 to PhP3,072 based on current exchange rates.
