In Marina's congratulatory Instagram post for Bea, the La Union beauty left a heartfelt comment, highlighting the cultural significance of pageantry in the Philippines and commending Marina's groundbreaking role as host.
Bea wrote, “Pageants are not only a national pastime but also a cultural institution here in the Philippines. Maraming salamat po, ate Marina Summers, for making history as a strong and beautiful trans woman hosting MUPH 2026!”
In the same comment, Bea revealed that she has an older sibling who is a trans man, reflecting her close ties to the LGBTQIA+ community.
She went on, “I am proudly the younger sister of my transmasc kuya Sunny, and your incredible work is an inspiration to Filipinos everywhere who dream of a kinder and more equitable Philippines.”
