There's no stopping Kapuso actress and host Michelle Dee now in reaching for the Miss World Philippines crown.

In the press conference held last Thursday, August 29, Michelle officially introduced herself as a candidate for the Miss World Philippines 2019.

During the question and answer portion of the press presentation, Michelle was asked what title is she hoping to get in the competition.

Michelle Dee said, “Well I do have my hopes in the Miss World crown.

“I really love the ideals that the Miss World Organization holds and I believe that my advocacy and the things that I believe in are aligned with the organization.”

It can be recalled that the Miss World Philippines contest crowns not only the Miss World Philippines, but also other international pageants such as Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Eco International, Miss Multinational, Miss Philippines Tourism, and Miss Eco Teen International.

She added, “I personally know how long and how eager people have waited for me to join the pageant and I never really dreamed of being a beauty queen.

“But what really gets to me with Miss World is that the purpose that they make, the values that they uphold.”

Michelle is the daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and the cousin of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez.

She is set to compete on September 15 alongside other Kapuso actresses Kelley Day and Isabelle de Leon.
