In the previous episode of Because of You, Andi (Carla Abellana) decided to end her relationship with Jaime (Gabby Concepcion) after realizing that his children may never accept her despite his efforts to stand by her.

Although Jaime defended Andi against Veronica's (Valerie Concepcion) schemes and even reassured her that she was not to blame for his allergic reaction, the ongoing tension with his children ultimately led Andi to break up with him.

She later told Jaime's firstborn, Cheska (Joyce Ching), that she had left her father and wished their family well.
