The folk-pop/pop rock band Ben&Ben issued an apology to their fans, whom they fondly call “Liwanag,” after they experienced mishaps during their Homecoming 2022 concert on December 18.
After their successful American tour, Ben&Ben announced that they will be having their last concert for the year in the form of their Homecoming 2022 concert at the SMDC Festival Grounds as a means to express their gratitude for a successful year.
Their big event was supposed to be their send-off concert in September before they went on tour, but did not push through due to inclement weather.
However, no event is not without mishaps as apparently, there were issues in queuing and entering the concert venue for which the band apologized in a Facebook post on December 20.
“We'd like to sincerely apologize to those of you who had a deeply stressful experience with the queuing, the entry into the venue, and the general gaps in the organization of the event,” they said.
The band also expressed how grateful they were for the “unforgettable night of music and emotions shared between the band and Liwanag.”
The band then promised to be more vigilant in terms of the planning and preparations for their future concerts to avoid having the same issues again.
“While we can't undo the pains that you've been through, we can help make things right moving forward. Thank you,” they said.
“Every song we sang was for all of you,” they added.
Several netizens, meanwhile, expressed their thanks to the band for acknowledging what happened and also assured them that they were not at fault.
Another netizen also commended the band's brave gesture.
Netizens have also mentioned that the organizers should be the ones to apologize as they were in charge of the problematic parts of the concert.
