Sparkle star and content creator Benedict Cua shows full support for his dear celebrity friend Mika Salamanca.

In a TikTok video, the Kapuso artist cheered Mika on as she embarked on her journey as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

Benedict began by sharing how their friendship blossomed during a past project.

"Noong naging close kami, winawalang hiya niya na ako," he joked. "The reason why kaya nag-work ang friendship namin because I see a lot of myself in her. Si Mika, always misunderstood by a lot of people."

He then opened up about the public scrutiny Mika faced due to past controversies.

"Habang tumatagal, dumadami ang isyu niya. She was often misunderstood to a point na never na siyang nagkaroon ng energy to even say anything to protect herself. Kahit ano naman ang sinasabi niya, hindi siya pinapakinggan. She has done a lot of mistakes in the past na pagsisihan niya at nakita ko talaga personally yung growth niya," he said.

The Sparkle star shared his admiration for Mika's strength and resilience, especially as someone who can truly relate to her struggles.

"Naranasan ko 'yan dati 'yung walang nagste-step up para i-defend ka kasi takot sila. I'm sure she felt terrible, she felt scared, and she felt helpless that time. But she did not ever try to destroy someone else's name," he shared.

Now seeing his friend in PBB, Benedict felt glad to see the positive response she's getting from the public.

"Sobrang saya ako na nakapasok si Mika sa PBB dahil ito 'yung isang opportunity na makita n'yo who she really is without her even trying to explain or defend herself. Makikita n'yo na lang what her personality is and I'm sure everybody is still holding back at this point. I'm so excited kung paano 'yung upcoming days," he concluded.

As of this writing, the video has garnered over 3 million views and 300,000 likes on TikTok. Fans of both stars also flooded the comment section with love and appreciation for their genuine friendship.

Inside the PBB house, Mika continues to radiate positivity alongside her fellow Kapuso and Kapamilya housemates.

Meanwhile, Benedict shared that he also auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, but didn't make it. Looking back, he believes fate had better plans for him when it comes to family and career.
