Two decades after their debut, K-pop icons BIGBANG are gearing up for a new musical chapter with an upcoming single and world tour.
BIGBANG will commemorate its 20th anniversary with “BiiiG,” a new digital single arriving on August 19.
The release comes more than four years after the group's last song, “Still Life,” which dropped in April 2022. YG Entertainment said the new track will capture BIGBANG's current identity while showcasing a fresh musical direction.
The trio will waste little time returning to the stage, as they are scheduled to launch their XX: Cosmos World Tour just two days after the single's release.
The tour begins on August 21 in Goyang, South Korea, and is expected to bring BIGBANG to 19 cities for 33 performances. More stops and dates are set to be revealed later.
The group is set to visit the Philippines in 2027, with the concert scheduled for February 20 at the SMDC Festival Grounds.
BIGBANG first entered the K-pop scene in August 2006 with G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri as members. The group later cemented its place in K-pop history with songs such as “Lies,” “Haru Haru,” and “Bang Bang Bang.”
The group now promotes as a three-member act with G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung continuing the BIGBANG name.
