Billy Crawford

Billy Crawford made Pinoys proud once again after winning at 'The Masked Singer' France.

Filipino singer and dancer Billy Crawford just got another international win under his belt when he won season 9 of The Masked Singer France as L'Âne or The Donkey.

The Masked Singer is a reality singing competition TV series that originated in South Korea. Celebrity singers perform wearing head-to-toe costumes, hiding their identities. Judges then try to guess who they are through the visual cues given to them.

Billy was able to hide his identity until the finale episode, where he was declared the winner, besting 22 other masked singers.

In an Instagram post following his win, Billy reflected on the “amazing experience” he had during the show.

“This was an absolutely amazing experience! Thank you to my @masksinger_tf1 family for keeping me a secret for a whole month! Thank you to the costume designers for your incredible patience and for the countless adjustments you made along the way,” Billy wrote.

He also thanked everyone who voted for him on the show. Billy also shared a short story on choosing L'Âne for his costume.

“L'Ane was a very special character to me because I chose it with my son Amari in mind. I figured if he loved it, everyone else would too!” he said

Billy ended his post thanking the Lord for the courage, strength, and opportunity to compete and win in the contest.

During the season, Billy impressed the audience by performing both French and English songs, showcasing both his vocal versatility and the performance skills he's known for.

This is the second time Billy has won an international competition. He first won in the French edition of Dancing with the Stars with his partner Fauve Hautot.
