BLACKPINK's Lisa is bringing her journey to the big screen with Always Lalisa, a documentary that has been selected to premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), scheduled to run from September 10 to 20.

Directed by Sue Kim, the film chronicles a pivotal chapter in the global star's career as she spends a year pursuing projects on her own outside of BLACKPINK.

According to the documentary's official synopsis, the film follows Lisa as she navigates the uncertainty of stepping into a new phase of independence while preparing for her eventual return to the group.

The documentary also explores the challenges of balancing multiple ambitions, from building her solo music career and venturing into acting to expanding her personal brand, all while searching for a life beyond the public eye.

Further details about Always Lalisa have yet to be announced. The documentary is produced by Sony Music Vision, RCA Records, and Lisa's own company, LLOUD CO.

Lisa debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016 after becoming the first Thai artist to join YG Entertainment. She earned her spot after standing out among thousands of hopefuls during the company's auditions at just 13 years old.

Since then, she has grown into one of K-pop's biggest global stars. In 2021, she launched her solo career with the single album LALISA, which featured the hits "LALISA" and "MONEY." Then, in 2025, she released her debut full-length solo album, ALTER-EGO.

The singer is also set to make history later this year as the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency, with performances scheduled at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from November 13 to 28.
