Legendary R&B vocal group Boyz II Men shared a heartfelt word of thanks and love for Filipino fans who supported their decades-long journey in the industry.
Members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman showed their love for the Philippines during their successful concert on Sunday, May 18, at the Araneta Coliseum.
“We promise you, we would never stay away from you here, Manila, ever again, this long. We promise. You guys have been a very special part of our lives for a long, long time,” said Shawn Stockman. “So when I say thank you, I'm not just talking about this evening. I'm saying thank you for 33 years of our entire career.”
Shawn Stockman recognized the group's connection to the Philippines and how they dedicate a part of their success to the fans. “The Philippines embraced us since day one, and we realized that our success would mean nothing without all of you beautiful people. This is your show right here. You sold out this whole building tonight.”
“Because 33 years ago, I guess you could say, we made a connection -- a connection that lasted this long, and looks like it's going to last, hopefully, a little longer than that,” Shawn added.
With Boyz II Men's successful concert, the group asked Filipino fans: “[...] if you don't mind, we have spent 33 years, how about we spend another 33 years together, is that alright with you?”
Boyz II Men graced the Philippine stage on Sunday and serenaded Filipino fans with their hit songs “I'll Make Love To You,” “End of the Road,” “Water Runs Dry,” “On Bended Knee,” “One Sweet Day,” “4 Seasons of Loneliness,” “Motownphilly,” and more.
