K-pop group BTS wins Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

K-pop phenomenal group BTS bagged two plum awards in the 2019 Billboard Music Awards held at the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, May 1 (U.S. Time).

Boyband BTS make K-Pop history by topping US album charts

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, were named as Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist in the prestigious music awards.


After receiving the awards, the K-pop group instantly became a top trending topic on Twitter worldwide. Fans have been tweeting about the group's awesome performance with Halsey, singing their hit collaboration 'Boy With Luv.'


Last year, BTS made history as the first K-Pop group to top the Billboard 200 music charts which ranks albums via sales, downloads and streams.

BTS is composed of Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V, Jungkook and Jin. The septet was formed by Big Hit Entertainment and debuted in 2013.
