You're My Favorite Song lead stars Caprice Cayetano and Marco Masa opened up in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com about their shared experiences in the entertainment industry.
The two actors reflected deeply on their parallel career paths, noting how comforting it is to work with someone who also transitioned from being a child star to a young adult actor.
Throughout the interview, they fondly recalled the valuable lessons they picked up and the unexpected discoveries they made about each other while working closely on the set.
For Caprice, sharing the screen with Marco was a long-awaited milestone that finally materialized through this project. She expressed how deeply she relates to Marco's professional journey, given that they both took their first steps in showbiz at a very tender age.
Furthermore, the Kapuso young actress revealed that Marco has been a quiet mentor to her; even without him giving direct advice, she has managed to absorb countless invaluable career and life lessons simply by observing his work ethic and demeanor on set.
On the other hand, Marco reflected on how his background as a former child star gave him an advantage, noting that his years of early experience allowed him to easily navigate the inner workings and demanding dynamics of the industry.
The actor also expressed his immense admiration for Caprice, revealing how much he has learned from her. He particularly praised her acting prowess, highlighting her incredible ability to shed tears and deliver emotionally heavy scenes.
Marco mentioned that watching Caprice pull off these intense scenes felt like looking in a mirror; it vividly reminded him of his own childhood days when he, too, possessed that exact same effortless ability to cry instantly on cue whenever a dramatic scene required it.
During a recent appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the two Kapuso young stars also opened up about how they get into character for the series.
“Actually, before, binabasa ko talaga 'yung script. Pero siguro I like the element of being surprised so as much as I can, binabasa ko 'yung script, pero mas gusto ko sa set ko na talaga siya magsi-sink in sa 'kin.
