Teen actress Caprice Cayetano is leaning heavily into her "sidequest era." At 17, the reality show winner is actively avoiding the pressure to stick to just one path, choosing instead to spend her free time exploring everything from crafting to gaming and baking.
"Whenever I have free time after work, I explore different sidequests," Caprice says. "I make bracelets, play mobile games, and hopefully soon, I'll start baking pastries."
Caprice's hobbies tie closely to her family. Her interest in making bracelets stems from her mother, who used to create and sell handmade accessories. "That's where I realized how patient I can be," Cayetano says. "You string the beads one by one, and when you finish, there's a different kind of fulfillment."
Meanwhile, her goal to bake comes from her father's influence in the kitchen. "If Daddy is known for his main dishes, maybe someday I'll be known for pastries," she says. When she isn't creating, she spends her downtime playing mobile games with her cousins.
Caprice believes this multi-faceted approach is a defining trait of her generation. "I think we Gen Zs enjoy having lots of sidequests because they help us discover new things about ourselves and even the paths we may want to pursue."
Her digital presence reflects this mindset. Whether she is sharing curated Instagram photos or scrolling through TikTok, music plays a central role in how she curates her online space. "I love choosing the songs for my posts because they help tell the story and match the vibe of every photo," she says.
This tech-centric lifestyle recently led to a partnership with Smart Prepaid, a network Caprice has used since getting her first phone eight years ago. She joins the brand as one of its new Power All ambassadors. "I'm really happy to be part of the Smart family because I've actually been a Smart subscriber since I got my first phone eight years ago," she says. "Now I get to enjoy it even more as one of the Smart ambassadors."
Looking ahead, Caprice Cayetano plans to keep expanding her horizons with vlogging and singing. Her takeaway for other teens is simple: "Keep exploring. Choose sidequests that genuinely make you happy because those experiences help you become the best version of yourself."
