Widows' War star Carla Abellana is one of the many celebrities who are now calling for justice for Killua, a dog who was recently found dead inside a sack.
Carla condemned the brutal killing of Killua, a golden retriever who lived in Bato, Camarines Sur. The dog's owner, Vina Rachelle, posted the incident online which later went viral.
On Instagram, the Kapuso actress and animal welfare advocate shared her own thoughts about the brutal killing.
Following that, Carla reposted @akfanimalrecue's social media post about Killua.
She wrote, “Here's one thing most of you probably don't realize: this happens all the time and everywhere in our country.”
“There are so much more Killuas out there, especially those with no breed. Let's pray for them too,” Carla added.
She ended her caption with, “Justice will be given for Killua soon, you'll see.”
Aside from Carla, Sarah Geronimo also condemned the killing of Killua.
She recently posted and shared her thoughts about the said issue on X (formerly Twitter).
Sarah wrote, “This news is extremely heartbreaking. Walang kalaban-laban 'yung aso. Katulad nating mga tao, nakakaramdam din sila ng takot at sakit.”
She added, “Every life deserves respect and protection. It's time to demand accountability and raise our voices against animal cruelty.”
The singer-actress, who is also a fur parent, promoted unity in her post.
She said, “Let's unite in being the voice for the voiceless. Killua. We will fight for you. #JusticeForKillua #VoiceForTheVoiceless #StopAnimalCruelty.”
