Fur mom and animal rights advocate Carla Abellana couldn't hide her emotions about missing her pet dogs during her lock-in taping.

Kapuso primetime star Carla Abellana was emotional in her latest vlog about the struggles and hardships of working amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

To protect everyone from the dreaded virus, drama shows must impose strict health and safety protocols to keep everybody safe in the production. In GMA-7, for example, it is required that one must register a negative RT-PCR Test before he or she can join in any lock-in tapings.

The 35-year-old actress admitted that her month-long lock-in taping for her brand-new primetime series means she will be away from her fur babies.

Swept with emotions, Carla admitted on her vlog: “I missed my doggies, I miss my babies [cries].

“I'm so near yet so far. My house is literally just a few streets away. That's why when we are here in this hotel for quarantine and I always look out the window because I missed them so much and I know they are so near.”

She added, “I know they are okay, but of course know that they are sad that I'm gone. I know that they are wondering why pagbalik ng kotse sa bahay wala ako sa loob, hindi ako nakasakay.

“I cried last night, I cried this morning, because I was dreading every minute. Counting down to lock-in taping not that I'm not grateful, but because I'm going to miss them so much.”

Carla is one of the lead stars of the upcoming GMA-7 drama To Have And To Hold, wherein she will be working with some of the finest actors in show business including Rocco Nacino and Max Collins.

In the same vlog, she also discussed how she prepared for their upcoming lock-in taping.

She explained, “In fairness, konti lang 'yung dala kong luggage but I have more consumables, 'yung food and all that. I have more of that and less of the clothing or items of clothing kasi marami na kami iniwan sa taping or dun sa location namin during part one of our lock-in taping.

“So kung tutuusin, I look like or seem like I have less stuff, but really it's a lot more food.

“It's going to be a bit more difficult, because it's longer but hopefully it's gonna be just as fun, if not, mas fun pa, di ba.”

In addition, the versatile actress also dropped hints about two more cast members that will be joining them in To Have And To Hold.

“Because we will be at lock-in I think with two more cast members. So yeah, abangan n'yo kung sino 'yun, but yes we've been waiting for them and finally we have them on board, so I can't wait to work with both of them.

“This is going to be the longest I will be away from my family, my loved ones, and my dogs. Given na yan that this is the longest Tom [Rodriguez] and I have been apart for months. Nakakatawa lang because he's actually arriving back home tomorrow --- nakakatawa kasi the day before he gets back ako naman itong umalis ng bahay for lock-in.”
