Actress Carla Abellana dedicated a sweet birthday message for her older sister Erica Abellana-Espiritu who turned a year older recently.

On Instagram, Carla posted some photos with her sister Erica showing their treasured memories together along with a lengthy and sweet caption.

She wrote, "Life is better with a sister and I will eternally be grateful for my ate.

The actress shared that her sister always supports her and fights all her bullies until today.

"She fought back against my bullies growing up and until today she has my back. You don't wanna mess with her and our family because she will unleash her inner beast if she must. If I'm the calm one, she's the fierce one.

"All my life I could always come running to her for comfort, calmness, strength, and most of all protection," she mentioned.

Carla also described her sibling as her primary source of strength especially during difficult times.

"She would always check up on me, remind me of my worth and tell me everything will be okay. I am crying hard now as I type this because she is a primary source of my strength and I can't thank her enough for saving me many times over," she shared.

"Happy Birthday, Ate! I love you so much and I will always have your back too, no matter what," Carla wrote at the end of her post.

Erica immediately commented on Carla's sweet birthday post for her.

"I love you @carlaangeline [heart emoji]," Erica wrote.

Recently, Carla revealed in an interview with 24 Oras that she will be part of the upcoming GMA series titled Voltes V: Legacy. The actress remains silent about the issue with her husband Tom Rodriguez.
