Director Cathy Garcia-Sampana revealed that Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards had been longing for a sequel of his and Kathryn Bernardo's 2019 blockbuster movie Hello, Love, Goodbye.
During the official announcement of its sequel, titled Hello, Love, Again, Direk Cathy seconded Alden's statement it has always been in his heart.
“I can attest to that. 'Yung part two, 'yan, sa puso ni Alden, tagal na,” Direk Cathy said.
“Parang 'yung mga nagte-text sa akin, 'Kailan po? Kailan po?' Ako naman, 'Wait lang po, wait lang po. Antayin natin ang management magsabi. Finally, it's happening pero totoo 'yung sinasabi niyan.”
Alden earlier said that it was his dream to continue the story of Ethan and Joy after watching Hello, Love, Goodbye multiple times.
“Hinintay ko rin siya. After seeing the film over and over again, 'yung pangarap na 'yun nasa puso ko lang in the past five years,” he said.
He added, “Finally, dreams do come true talaga.”
Hello, Love, Again tells the story of Ethan and Joy as they reunite in Canada, five years after the event of the first film.
In Hello, Love, Goodbye, Ethan and Joy met in Hong Kong as struggling OFWs. Unfortunately, their romance didn't blossom as Joy chose to pursue her dream in Canada as a nurse.
Hello, Love, Again marks the first film collaboration between Star Cinema and GMA Pictures. It will be shown exclusively in cinemas on November 13, 2024.
