Catriona Gray went on the trip with boyfriend, Sam Milby.
Catriona Gray is yet another convert to car camping or overlanding, described by the website Overland Kings as a “self-reliant journey to remote destinations.”
In her latest post on Instagram, the former Miss Universe posted five photos of her and boyfriend Sam Milby's trip in Calamba, Laguna. Aside from the tents and overland camping gear, the photos also showcased the couple's dogs, who Catriona said thought the camping trip was “a vacation.”
This is the latest in the couple's trips, as they had previously taken a trip together to the Rockies, the largest mountain system in North America.
Catriona and Sam are just the latest celebrities to get on the overlanding craze. Kapuso couple and Sparkle's Next Brightest Stars of 2022, Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos have also expressed their love for overlanding.
At the start of the year, Gabbi and Khalil Ramos share their new interest with entertainment reporter Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras.
The couple first floated the idea on their “Front Seat Foodies” food vlog and have only gotten more into it over the past few months.
Khalil even encouraged those thinking about going overlanding that getting into the activity is easier than one thinks, revealing that the car they used for their first overlanding trip wasn't even their own.
“Kapag nakita mo siya, parang nakaka-intimidate, pero nung ginawa na namin, sobrang ang dali niya compared to traditional camping kasi dala mo lahat nung gamit, mas matagal 'yung set-up, mas kailangan alam mo 'yung lupa at anggulo nung pagset-up. Pero kapag built-in na siya doon sa kotse, ise-setup mo lang siya kasi nasa car na siya (When you see it, it looks intimidating, but when we did it, it was so easy compared to traditional camping where you bring all the things, the set-up is longer, and you need to know the lay of the land and the angle of the set-up. But when it's built-in to the car, you just set it up.),” shared Khalil.
Biyahe ni Drew's Drew Arellano is also an overlanding fan, having gone on trips with his wife Iya Villania and their children.
