Naging usap-usapan noong June ang breakup rumors sa pagitan nina Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi at non-showbiz partner niyang si Jonathan Sterling. Sa pagbisita niya sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda nitong Miyerkules, August 19, binigyang linaw niya ang chismis na ito.
“Well, I think, like every relationship, we go through our ups and downs. It's just unfortunate that I'm a public figure so somehow, something comes out. And it's also not easy when you're pregnant, and you're already going through a lot privately, and it also becomes public, but definitely, it's just like a normal relationship,” sabi ni Celeste.
Paglilinaw ng beauty queen, pinag-uusapan nila ang personal problems nila privately.
“We do have a show where we talk a lot about our private lives, but as much as possible, we also try to have boundaries in what is our relationship and keeping those boundaries always in place 'cause it's also sensitive. And especially when it involves pregnancy and having a child together,” sabi ni Celeste.
Ipinahayag din niya kung gaano kaimportante ang pagbibigay ng respeto sa isang relationship.

Ani Celeste, bago pa man siya nabuntis ay nakakaranas na rin ng problema sila ni Jonathan, at sinabing wala namang relasyon ang perpekto.
“We had a lot of good moments, not so good moments, it's okay. The important thing is that we know the truth and we know what happened and we just keep it between ourselves. Whatever the interpretation of the media had about that, it's also not actually what happened,” sabi ni Celeste.
Tungkol sa balitang naghiwalaya sila, sabi ni Celeste, “Parang we had a moment where we had to kinda take space or separate; there's more in the show that I also cannot say now, but again, it's just about recognizing that there are always ups and downs, and as always, we're able to be honest with each other.”
