Comedienne Aiai delas Alas flexed her love for the popular Korean pop group Blackpink by showing off her latest merchandise haul.
Aiai proudly posted a photo of her on Instagram while holding the assorted Blackpink fan items given by her children Sophia, Sancho, and daughter-in-law Shanna Guanzon.
The Kapuso comedienne also put the hashtag #5thmemberoftheblackpink at the end of her post for added emphasis.
Aiai is a massive supporter of the four-piece South Korean girl group responsible for the hits “Boombayah,” “Kill This Love,” and “How You Like That,” among others.
In July, Aiai dropped a viral TikTok video of her dancing to “How You Like That.”
“How you like that??? Wala sa timing hahaha parabimparabooom boom boom hahhaa .. eto ang MAITAWID LANG,” she wrote on Instagram.
Aiai followed it up with a song performance of Blackpink's “Ice Cream” as the opening number to GMA-7's singing competition The Clash in October.
“Gusto niyo 'to!” Aiai, who did three outfit changes during the performance, told viewers.
Earlier this month, Aiai's husband, Gerald Sibayan, caught her practicing the song “Lovesick Girls” at home.
“Nahuli nya kong nag practice ng 'Love Sick Girls'... soon --- hehehe kaya ko 'to, ginusto ko 'to at kakayanin ko 'to ('wag kang ano darl),” Aiai wrote on Instagram.
She also used the hashtag #certifiedblink in the caption.
Aiai was finally able to perform the song on Christmas Day, December 25, at The Clash Christmas Special: Pasko Para Sa Lahat.
Some fans, however, expressed disappointment by Aiai's performance and rendition of the song.
“Stop using K-pop para magpasikat.. Okay lang kung inaral mo kahit konti 'yung kanta.. Kapag OPM kaya salaulain at bastusin matutuwa ka ba?” a Blackpink fan wrote on social media.
Blinks (the group's official fandom name) called on Aiai for purportedly “disrespecting” the Korean language.
There are those, however, who admired Aiai's “good vibes” and “enjoyable” performance.
