Kapuso gem Christian Bautista is taking his Indonesian career to another level as he is set to open for Irish pop group Westlife's “The Hits Tour” tomorrow, June 7, at Prambanan Temple.
Christian invited everyone to watch this special performance and shared his excitement about this project in an Instagram reel uploaded by Otello Asia and Color Asia Live.
“Hi, everyone! This is Christian Bautista, and I will be opening for Westlife at Prambanan. I'm so, so excited,” Asia's Romantic Balladeer said, “please come and join us on Friday, June 7, with Shane, Kian, and Nicky for Westlife 'The Hits Tour' 2024 live in [Prambanan Temple], Yogyakarta.”
Although excited about Westlife and Christian's show in Indonesia, some fans expressed their dismay at the absence of the group's lead vocalist, Mark Feehily, who took a break from the schedules of the group due to several medical conditions.
Last February, he posted a long explanation to fans about his absence and said that he wished “things could be different.”
Meanwhile, Christian's upcoming performance with Westlife in Indonesia is just one of the many things he prepared for his Indonesian career, which he shared during an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com last February. He even mentioned that he is open to collaborations with Indonesian artists.
"Always open for collabs sa Indonesia and here as well, or any international artists. It's nice kasi you both connect and create something very unique,” he said.
Moreover, as Christian prepares for his upcoming show tomorrow in Indonesia, the Kapuso singer is also on high alert for the upcoming season of GMA Network's reality talent search The Clash this 2024.
In an interview, Christian said “Gusto ko pa rin na maka-discover ng mga bagong talento, maka-discover ng mga bagong paraan kung paano makakatulong, maka-mentor, na mag-judge in a way na makakabuti sa mga bagong Clashers.”
