COVID-19 survivor Christopher de Leon donates his plasma to aid in the recovery of patients infected with the disease.

Highly-respected TV/movie actor Christopher de Leon was back in the hospital again, but this time to help other COVID-19 patients to fight off this disease.

Christopher de Leon tested negative for COVID-19

Christopher, who tested negative for the coronavirus last April 14, decided to go to St. Luke's Global yesterday to donate his plasma to help treat other patients infected with the coronavirus.

His wife Sandy Andolong shared a photo of him with the healthcare professionals at the hospital.

She wrote in the captions, "Done🏻 ️ Hubby donated his plasma this afternoon. Thank you to all the doctors & staff of St. Luke's Global for your help & assistance All honor & glory to GOD ❣️ @sgt.pepper8"

According to a report by GMA News Online, the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) has called on COVID-19 survivors to donate blood to patients in critical condition as another method to treat severe cases with convalescent plasma transfusion.

PGH spokesman Dr. Jonas Del Rosario stated that patients who survived the disease have formed antibodies in their blood.
