This Sunday (July 23), Chynna begins her lessons in the kitchen with Chef Boy Logro as the new co-host of GMA News TV’s 'Idol sa Kusina.'
Over the years, GMA Artist Center’s Chynna Ortaleza has made her mark in acting and hosting. As a new wife and mother, the Kapuso actress is ready to explore more of her skills and this time, she wants to try her hands at cooking.
This Sunday (July 23), Chynna begins her lessons in the kitchen with Chef Boy Logro as the new co-host of GMA News TV’s Idol sa Kusina.
As Chef Boy’s new student, Chynna will attempt to pick up her teacher’s culinary expertise, one dish at a time.
“I am very excited to be learning from the best!” Chynna said of her new adventure. “Chef Boy and the whole Idol Sa Kusina family has been very supportive! I am a new mom who has never found her way to the kitchen. Wala akong masyadong experience sa kusina pero with their helpalam ko makakaluto na rin ako ng masasarap na pagkain na pwede kong i-share sa loved ones ko at sa lahat ng nanunuod sa amin,” she added.
Chef Boy is also looking forward to take Chynna under his wing and teach her skills in the kitchen. “She's like my sous chef. Of course, I have my school, it's about time na turuan ko siyang maging chef na slowly. I know Chynna can do it, kayang-kaya niya ‘yan. I know rin na madali syang matuto dahil siya ay fast learner,” he said.
To kick off Chynna’s kitchen lessons, Idol sa Kusina prepared an exciting line up of delicious fusion dishes this Sunday. Joining Chef Boy and Chynna is “Haplos” actress Francine Prieto.
Chef Boy will turn Kaldereta into an Italian treat by using it as filling for Kaldereta Ravioli. Those who want another way of serving calamari can take tips from Chef Boy as he and Chynna prepare Hot Calamari Salad with Miso Vinaigrette.
To excite everyone’s palate, the new kitchen duo will give the ordinary dinamita a cool twist by fusing it with everyone’s favorite pork and beans. The Idol sa Kusina hosts will also make a fancier version of turon called the Apple Cinnamon Turon.
