During the story conference for the series held on Tuesday, May 12, You're My Favorite Song star Clifford shared his excitement about the character he is set to portray.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Clifford opened up about how thrilled he is to take on the role, which he admitted is a first for him.

He mentioned that he is currently undergoing extensive preparations, including thorough research, to ensure he delivers a high-quality performance and gives justice to his character in the upcoming series.

“I'm just so excited to bring my character to life, lalo na po na first time ko rin gagawin itong character na ito. I'm doing all my research. Talagang excited na po ako to try this because it is something new,” Clifford said during the interview.

He also noted that his character is something viewers can look forward to, as it is a role he has never explored in any of his previous projects.

Clifford admitted to feeling a bit of pressure and nervousness about the portrayal, but he promised to give it his absolute best.

“Sana abangan n'yo 'yung character ko. It's something that I've never tried before. It's something na medyo kinakabahan ako i-portray, pero I am very excited. I'm really excited to be given this opportunity. I will do my best,” he said.

The Kapuso actor also shared his heartfelt aspirations for the impact of the upcoming series. He expressed his sincere hope that viewers would connect deeply with the entire cast and find inspiration in the show's story.

“I really hope you'll fall in love not only with my character but with all the characters, with the show itself, with the story. I really hope we can inspire a lot,” Clifford expressed.

Beyond the friendship, Clifford also highlighted how their recent workshops strengthened their chemistry as co-stars. He shared that while they initially spent time laughing together, the group eventually developed a natural flow and shared focus on their craft.

“Siguro 'yung discovery ko noong workshop is sobrang gaan nila kaeksena. In-expect ko naman 'yun noong nasa Bahay ni Kuya pa, pero sa workshop po kasi doon na po talaga namin na-try na mag-act together,” Clifford shared.

“Noong first [day ng workshop], siyempre tawanan pa po, parang hindi pa po namin maseryoso ang isa't isa. Pero as time passes by, sobrang gaan po nila kaeksena. We're all just listening to each other's ideas,” he continued.

He also emphasized the importance of discipline and a strong work ethic as he transitions into this new role.

Drawing a parallel to his time in the PBB house, he expressed his determination to bring his “Task-Slayer” energy to the set and work tirelessly to refine his acting skills.

“Siguro 'yung pinakamaa-apply ko ngayon is siguro 'yung discipline saka 'yung work ethic. Siguro kung sa PBB, 'Task-Slayer' ako, dito naman sa You're My Favorite Song, kailangan ko nang sipagan. Sipagan ko na sa craft ko, sa skills ko. I'm trying my best to improve in all aspects,” Clifford said.
