Pinoy MD and Unang Hirit host Connie Sison took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late ninang and the wife of former Vice President Noli De Castro, Arlene De Castro.

The Kapuso TV host and news anchor said, “My heart bleeds upon hearing of the sudden demise of my Ninang. Tita Arlene as we fondly call her, was one of my Godmothers in our wedding.

“But more than that, she was first and foremost like a second mom to me when I was starting out in this Industry.”

“She guided me, trusted me with my first few breaks in ABS and protected me in more ways than one throughout my years there.

“I will always keep her close to my heart. No goodbyes. Forever keeping this beautiful woman's wonderful memories alive.”

Connie then sent her heartfelt sympathy to former VP Noli De Castro and one of his and Arlene's children, former TV host and now general manager of PTV4, Kat De Castro.

“Rest in peace now, Tita Arlene. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Tito @kabayannolidecastro and @katdecastro”
