Cristine Reyes responds to viral video about her choosing Marco Gumabao as "totropahin" in a previous interview.

Cristine Reyes and Marco Gumabao made headlines recently after they revealed their relationship. Because of this, an old video interview of the actress playing the “Jojowain o Totropahin” game resurfaced and has become viral.

In the game, TV host Boy Abunda named different actors for Cristine to make a choice whether she would “totropahin” or “jojowain” them. One of the names mentioned was Marco, whom she described as “tropa" or friend.

“Si Marco, we're friends. And ang bata pa ni Marco.” she answered.

She added in jest, “Ano ako, cougar?”

Despite the netizens teasing her about it, the actress seemed not offended. She even posted a sweet photo of them together on her Facebook account and Instagram stories with the caption “def[initiely] not tropa anymore.'”

Marco, on the other hand, reposted her Instagram story on his own account, with the caption, “Hindi na couga..... di ko na itutuloy.”

Marco has previously admitted in a press conference of his movie Baby Boy, Baby Girl in March, that he and Cristine have been “very, very close. We've been working out together and hanging out a lot” after several pictures of them together became viral.

“Yun lang naman ang gusto ko. Cristine is a very wonderful person. Sobrang click kami sa mga trip namin sa buhay, yung likes namin complement each other,” he said.

When asked if it would be possible for him and Cristine to be in a serious relationship, he answered, “Well, nasa sa kanya 'yon.”

Meanwhile, during his interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on April 25, Marco shed some light on the viral photos of him and Cristine holding hands.

In the interview, Tito Boy asked Marco, “When people hold hands, ano ang ibig sabihin nun?”

To which the actor answered, “No one can really tell, Tito Boy, walang makakaalam niyan.”

“Kasi pwedeng inaalalayan lang niya, nagpapaka-gentleman lang siya, first stage ng panliligaw. Kayo lang talaga ang makakasagot niyan,” he added.
