Danica's children were not spared from falling sick as they experienced COVID-19 symptoms as well.

Danica Sotto-Pingris opened up about her experience after testing positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago.

“I thought side effects lang ng booster [shot] but when I woke up with sore throat and body aches, I knew I had to take another test at 'yon na nga, nag-positive na,” she wrote in an Instagram post today, January 18.

Danica added that her children, Jean Michael and Anielle Micaela, also experienced symptoms two days after confirming that she had contracted the virus. “They had sore throat, body aches, and fever. Thankfully, Marc and our helpers/angels at home were spared at wala nang nagkasakit pa. I'm just so glad that it's finally over. Thank you, Lord!”

The celebrity mom also listed her value-adding takeaways from her COVID-19 ordeal, stressing the importance of praying and maintaining a healthy body.

“Pray and stay strong! God is our Healer and He wants us well. Having a healthy body is so important. Mas mabilis ang recovery and please, get vaccinated. Listen to your body. Get tested after a few days when you feel something is off or when you are exposed to someone who is positive [for the virus],” she said.

For those who have no means of getting tested but have started to exhibit symptoms or have ascertained that they were exposed to the virus, she reminded that it be best for them to stay at home and enter self-isolation.

Danica also reinforced that contracting the virus and asking for help is “nothing to be ashamed of.” She underscored the importance of taking daily vitamins and completing the required period for quarantine since symptoms tend to show only two to three days after exposure to the virus.
