David Licauco's role as Fidel on 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' has only increased his popularity.
Maria Clara at Ibarra star David Licauco has accomplished a number of things over the course of the past year, but according to the handsome actor-entrepreneur, his casting as Fidel has got to be his biggest blessing for the year.
In a post on his Instagram account, David shared 10 photos from his time on the Maria Clara at Ibarra set, with some photos even featuring appearances by co-stars like Barbie Forteza and Dennis Trillo. In the caption, he simply wrote “One of my biggest blessings this year.”
His co-stars were quick to boost him up as well as joke with him in the comments section, with Dennis and Barbie encouraging him and Juancho Trivino joking that he never gets included in the photos that David takes.
One can't help but agree with David that his role as Fidel in Maria Clara at Ibarra has been a blessing as it has seen his team-up with Barbie Forteza's character Klay shoot up the trending topics and make viewers' hearts flutter.
For instance, Fidel's declaration of his love for Klay resulted in the hashtag #MCIIniibigKita shoot to the top of Twitter's trending topics, with netizens praising Fidel's “on brand” love confession.
His co-stars have also lauded his charm, such as Barbie who talked about it during an interview with Cata Tibayan for 24 Oras Weekend.
"Click 'yung FiLay kasi si David meron siyang aura na very ano, K-Drama," she said. "'Yung hitsura niya di ba, 'yung beauty niya, parang Korean actor."
