Maria Clara at Ibarra star David Licauco has entered the world of fragrance business and is embarking on a new endorsement as he becomes the global ambassador of local perfume brand Perfume Dessert London.

On February 7, 2023, an intimate event was held in Ponce in Tomas Morato, Quezon City to celebrate the Pambansang Ginoo's partnership with the brand. Together with the Perfume Dessert London team led by Ced Evangelista, the CEO; Moon Yap, Marketing Operations Head; and Ejay Fontanilla, PR Manager, David signed the contract and officially became the face of the brand.

At the signing, Evangelista and Yap revealed that a lot of their patrons are requesting to have David represent the brand and after a long and tedious process they finally were able to have him on board. Fontanilla shared the reason behind their decision and said, “Bagay siya na magrepresent sa Perfume Dessert because he's one of the fresh young faces that we have.”

Evangelista echoed Fontanilla's sentiments and said, “Kasi 'di ba 'yung brand namin nirerepresent niya is elegance pero hindi siya ganun kamahal, kaya ng masa, kaya ng middle class. Parang ganun si David, fresh, elegant pero hindi suplado. Kaya siyang iapproach ng masa and pwede rin siyang pang international.”

We couldn't agree more. David wouldn't have been branded as the Pambansang Ginoo if he wasn't naturally graceful and respectful of others.

David in return also expressed his appreciation for the brand and said, “I'm happy, I'm grateful, and I just can't wait to help the brand na mas mag grow pa. Siyempre, pinagkatiwalaan nila ako as a brand endorser and it's my job to help them scale up and mas makilala pa ng mga consumers. Since entrepreneur din ako, I know kung gaano yung hirap para magbuild ng brand.”

The other half of the popular love team FiLay is not only an actor and an ambassador of numerous lifestyle brands but he's also a businessman himself that's why he has a keen understanding of the nuts and bolts of running a business. He owns restaurants Kuya Korea, Sobra Cafe Molito, and Sobra Cafe Manila and even markets them himself. Don't be surprised if you see him on TikTok taking note of customer feedback.
