Former child star David Remo is beaming with pride after sharing on Instagram that he recently graduated from senior high school at De La Salle Greenhills.
Viewers and fans remember David for his roles in series like Binoy Henyo, Bolera, and in the award-winning children's fantasy series Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko. In Daig, David played the role of Elvis the grandson of Lola Goreng, who was portrayed by the late seasoned actress Gloria Romero.
Prior to his graduation day, the teen actor reminisced about his time studying in La Salle.
He posted a carousel of photos on Instagram taken when he was a student and wrote in the caption.
“It's really strange how life works. One moment you're lining up for recess, complaining about homework, laughing in classrooms like the world will never change. Then suddenly 12 years are gone. Just like that.
“Honestly, I don't know how to feel or react. It all just hit me, the sadness, the fear, the gratitude.”
David continued, “For more than a decade, this was my routine. These were the people I saw every day. The place I considered my second home. And now, it's all about to become a memory.
“The moments we take for granted become the ones we miss the most.”
“I really can't believe how fast it all just went by. How I used to wish for time to pass faster, wishing for holidays and suspensions, weekends and long breaks. And now I wish I could take it all back, I wish I could slow it all down. Even if it was just one more day. One more laugh with the same faces. One more moment of knowing exactly where I belong.
“To the strangers turned friends, and the friends turned into bonds deeper than blood, thank you. For being together with me on this special part of our lives. I wouldn't be who I am today without you all.”
Back in 2023, David won the award for Best Teen Actor in the Asian Top Choice Awards For Outstanding Achievers held at Okada Manila.
